2015 will mark the 35th anniversary of the Lowcountry’s culinary event of the year, The Southern Living Taste of Charleston, hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc (GCRA).  A 3-day event showcasing taste-tempting delights served by Charleston restaurants.


Main Event At Boone Hall Plantation
Historic Boone Hall Plantation is transformed into a sea of culinary enchantment!  50 of the Lowcountry’s  favorite casual and fine dining restaurants serving sample size portions + beer and wine.  Highlights of the Main Event include: specialty and imported beer tasting tent, live music, the legendary “Waiters’ Race” and the “Kid’s Kitchen Sideshow.” Food and drink tickets are sold separately. Children 10 and under are free. Rain or Shine. No Pets, Coolers or Tailgating. Free Parking. Please Carpool.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the following charities: The Ronald McDonald HouseHollings Cancer CenterHospitality Heroes, Shriners Hospitals for Children and Charleston County Schools Science Materials Resource Center View the Charleston Restaurant Association’s Benefiting Charities.



The event will showcase a sampling of local cuisine from more than 50 of Charleston’s finest restaurants as well as live music, waiter’s wine race, children’s area and Southern Living exhibition area. Event sponsors include: Town of Mount Pleasant, Limehouse Produce, Blue Moon and Biltmore Wines.
