We are introducing a new and exciting ecology program at Boone Hall. Students will discover the wonders of nature through experiential learning. On a tram ride around the plantation, they will study our farming techniques in the fields, the ecosystem of the salt water marsh, including checking on our crab trap at the Dock House. Around the aviary they will help identify birds and study the trees and plant life. Returning to the Butterfly Cafe they can observe our weather station and note how weather affects all of nature. This program is designed to demonstrate how important conservation is to the planet. Program begins 1/7/2008 and is offered throughout the year. Students and Chaperones: $7.00 Teachers are free. The program lasts 2 hours and picnic tables are provided for lunch. Book reservations by calling Jennifer: 843-856-5360. Please enter through the main gate of Boone Hall Plantation.
