Explore the world of Butterflies at Boone Hall's Butterfly Pavilion. Students will be able to see up close the different eggs, caterpillars and chrysalides and how they adapt to their different environments for survival. The classes will tour the Butterfly Pavilion and study all four cycles of the butterflies in their natural habitat. As students tour the Pavilion they will learn about the four basic needs of survival: food, shelter, water, and air and will observe first hand the difference between host and nectar plants. This program last about 1 hours and is offered April thru October form 9:00-1:00 p.m. and is open to all grade levels Students and Parents will pay $7.00 each and teachers will be free. All buses and cars should enter through the main gate. We will provide a sitting area for lunch or snacks. All buses and cars should enter through the Main Gate of Boone Hall Plantation.
