Exploring the Past
"Exploring the Past" programs are offered at Boone Hall Plantation for the 2007-2008 school year. Students will learn about topics such as the early economy of South Carolina, how historians and archaeologists work together to uncover the past, and the role African slaves had in the construction of the plantations and the creation of the rich cultural heritage. By clicking on your grade in the Sub menu you can see what programs are offered and a description of the program.

Life Sciences Programs
Our New Butterfly Pavilion and education Center provides a unique environment to study the Life Cycle of the Butterfly. Students learn the relationship between Butterflies and plants in their natural habitat. An interactive media program will give students the opportunity to observe up close the different characteristics of each stage of a Butterfly's life. The Butterfly Program can be combined with a tram tour of the Plantation and an opportunity for students to pick fruits and vegetables when in season.

"Boone Hall is also one of America's oldest working, living plantations."
