Boone Hall Plantation is proud to welcome Piggly Wiggly as the title sponsor for this year's event. This event has become a Lowcountry Labor Day Weekend favorite.

In keeping with tradition for this event in recent years, national headline bluegrass performers for 2010 feature the foot stomping music of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Winners of numerous Grammy Awards, the Dirt Band, as they are affectionately known, have a list of hits that includes "Mr. Bojangles" - "Fishin' In The Dark" - "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" and many others.

Also featured will be Rodney Dillard and The Dillard Band. The Dillards are also known for their appearances as "The Darlings" on the legendary television series "The Andy Griffith Show."  

There is always a wide variety of delicious BBQ available for everyone in attendance to purchase and enjoy. This year, the event will introduce "How To Cook Great BBQ" demonstrations, which will be presented by event sponsor Piggly Wiggly, and will feature BBQ guru Jimmy Hagood of Blackjack BBQ.   

The Celebrity Dunking Booth gives attendees an opportunity to dunk some of their local favorite media personaliities with part of the proceeds going to local charity.

The popular Mechanical Bull Riding Contest will be back with the winner taking home some great prizes.
There will be plenty of family fun and entertainment and a Zambelli Fireworks Show at the end of the day.

Locals and amateurs are invited to show-off their talents in a a barbecue competition in an effort win cash and prizes. To enter, please see the list of entry forms on the right hand side of this page.   

The Piggly Wiiggly BBQ and Bluerass Festival at Boone Hall Plantation is the perfect event to cap off Labor Day Weekend for the whole family.
